The Canada eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is a mandatory entry requirement for visa-exempt foreign nationals flying to Canada. It is electronically linked to your passport and must be obtained before boarding your flight.

Who needs a Canada eTA?
Visa-exempt foreign nationals flying to Canada by air. Travelers arriving by land from the US or by sea do not need an eTA.
How long is a Canada eTA valid?
5 years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. Each stay may not exceed 6 months.
How quickly is the eTA approved?
Most applications are approved within minutes. In some cases it can take a few days. Apply well before your travel date.
Do I need an eTA if I travel by land from the US?
No. The eTA is only required when flying to Canada. If you enter by car or bus from the United States, you do not need an eTA.
What is the difference between EasyVisaHelp and the official Canada eTA website?
